Welcome to The Scoop!

This community is for you if you are firmly committed to doing life and business sustainably, with repeatable income, no rollercoaster launches and in a way that suits your season of life.

Despite the majority of female business owners growing up with virtually no role modelling in how to grow a business alongside a spacious, slow-paced life, here we are doing it anyway, and real-time role models are all around us. This is your place to join in the conversation.

By creative business owner, sales expert and female financial empowerment enthusiast Sara Dalrymple.

Helloooo! I’m Sarah-without-an-h and I am a multi faceted human living in London and doing my best to survive in a world that wants us to live in pigeon holes, make choices and label ourselves (aren’t we all?).

I spend my time raising 2 completely different boys with my husband in East London. I’ve been a waitress, an investment banker and a people photographer for 10 years and counting and I soon figured out that no matter what work looks like for you, being kind, a good communicator and focussing on service are always at least 50% of the job.

I love to write, speak about and join the conversation about women creating ease and money because a) I’m a huge fan of watching women win (for about eleventy billion reasons it’s my firm belief that we would all be better off if more of the world’s wealth was in female purses) and b) we are still in our infancy here with women having only gained access to independent mortgages, credit and loans fifty poxy years ago. We are behind the curve when it comes to accessing our fair share of the world’s wealth and that is putting it very bloody mildly.

It matters to me that we have more, not less, conversations that help more women feel confident in their ability to live the life they want to live, find happiness and pay their bills without collapsing on the floor in exhaustion or blinking and missing it because they were in a highly toxic productivity vortex their entire working lives. I know that there is lots of work to do to make this the norm and I’m up for the challenge.

I’m the oldest type of millennial there is, which means I didn’t grow up being encouraged to take up space outside the lines of tradition and I know the majority of women growing businesses today didn’t either. I love having conversations about holding more money as women, making work work on our terms and being seen despite the abject terror of judgement risk that lives inside so many women because shining a light on this stuff is how we’ll find a collective ease from something that was made to feel so hard by a system that wasn’t made for us to thrive financially.

We aren’t supposed to struggle and rush and do do do and pick up the slack at home and at work and spend our whole working lives being paid less despite working more and propping up the system every time a new crack forms. So instead, I like to bring people together in my world to normalise making more money, and doing it in less time, with more ease and less guessing. It’s working pretty well so far, so come in and join the party.

My new best-selling book MORE SALES PLEASE is a guide to help you increase sales for your small business in just 30 minutes each day and is out now. I hope it gives you some time back.

About “The Scoop”

This is where I’ll be posting my really considered thoughts on topics that affect our ability as women to make more money. From feeling the ick around visiblity, to economics, money chats and domestic load, anything that we can normalise talking about so that your business grows with intent - in all seasons, we’ll talk about here.

Outside Substack, I teach women how to increase sales across courses, mentoring and my best-selling book “More Sales Please”. It is my firm belief that the better we are at selling, the less we have to grind, wait it out or endure in business. So I share a lot of tips and education to help grow your confidence with talking about what you do, so that whenever you’re marketing, you’re creating the best chance of sales success off the back.

As well as that, here I focus more on the creation of ease overall, not just in marketing and sales, but in business and life as a whole. I chat about everything that comes into play for women building businesses for the first time in history, to help you understand why the simple act of talking about what you do can bring up SO MUCH, and what to do about it!

The more we talk about the giant opportunity having a small business offers us, the more we can see how small we’ve been taught to play, the years of conditioning that often hold us back without us even knowing it, and how powerful we all really are and always were.

Writing my book this year has reminded me how lovely it is to write in longer form again, and to produce something of real quality, without worrying about the ever-shortening attention spans exacerbated by the noisy travails of social media.

I’ll be damned if I’m going to give that up again!
